When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We the People.
If the first paragraph gives you the chills, and you completely embrace the second statement, you should take a stroll on Shakedown Street. A place where the sunny side of the street is dark.
For too long the "politicians" and "leaders" we elect have been using their positions of public service as their own personal bank account.
Thomas Jefferson, Tom Paine, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and the rest of the Founding Fathers would be appalled at the state of the Country they worked so hard to bring into being.
It is time WE THE PEOPLE took our Country back. And here on Shakedown Street we will talk about that and many other things. They believe that the American Dream is still possible so long as We the People exhibit leadership by electing the right leadership for our country.
Charlie and Hans believe that we need the voices of truth to counterbalance the lies and spin put forward by too many on the right side of the aisle. And, they believe that we need to begin the process of healing so that this country can get back on the right track.
The Political Atlas: It might be “all over the map” when it comes to the issues of the day, but the direction is always the same: Towards The Truth!

Our country is faced with problems such as war, pollution, political corruption, along with countless others. Instead of crying foul, complaining till our throats are sore, Joe Bechtold has taken a different stance, he decided to forget all about who is to blame and decided to focus all his energies on solutions.
Utterly sick and tired of the hyper-individualism and consumerism we decided enough was enough; we want a country that is really fair to all its people. Joe Bechtold wants a country that is more concerned with the health of their neighbor than whether or not they'll get the new hot gadget when it is released. He want a country where its citizens feel that their obligation to our country extends beyond just paying taxes. He want, and demand a change in all facets of our country!

It has been said that if you really want to accomplish things in a political discussion, you do it over a round of drinks.
Much of the planning and debating in regards to the founding of many countries (The United States included) occurred in the local corner pub over a few pints. It allowed for a more relaxed discussion where everyone remembered that, regardless of their differences, they were all still brothers and sisters.
The advent of the Internet has brought the world its largest corner pub. It seemed a shame not to follow in the footsteps of such forward thinking people as the founders of The United States, Canada, etc. by discussing the world and where it's going.
So, we've opened the Free World Pub.
Every week (Whatever the schedule) some of the various hosts from the FWRN meet over a few pints to try and hammer out what will make the world better.
